The Lumiere winery has been creating quality sparkling wine since the 19th Century. Today they are producing bottles which hold their own on the world stage and are starting to gain recognition outside of Japan.

To test this, attendees will get to taste 2 wines from the Lumiere family against comparable French wines and a Sake to see how they stand up. You will also have a go at matching the wines with food, so bring your appetite as well!

They’ve Taken Our Ghettos: A Punk History of the Woodberry Down Estate

This exhibition brings together prints, illustrations, photographs and text, created by a diaspora of punks who lived as squatters on the Woodberry Down Estate in the Manor House area of London in the 80s and 90s. This show was conceived in response to the estate’s current redevelopment plans, which recognizes only consenting voices in its gentrification process.

There will also be plenty of beer, wine, cocktails and nibbles on the night!

Playback: The 90s Party

Having transformed The Laundry in Hackney into a 1990s nightclub, complete with cocktail flare bars, podiums, a retro games room and a stage housing the finest 90s DJs, Playback will recreate the distinctive sounds, looks and tastes of the era.

Throughout the evening, party-goers can drink at one of the multiple cocktail bars, challenge their highest score at Pacman, push it to Salt ‘n’ Pepa, get loaded to Primal Scream, or body pop to Run DMC as part of a 90s break dance stand-off. A hair and make-up stand will also be available to channel some of the most famous looks of the decade!
